no offense but seriously if a cat or any animal requires that much money for surgery it needs to be put down there isnt an animal on this earth that is worth 3 grand!
I own a wonderful dog and would spend money on his healthcare needs that is the responsibility a pet owner takes on when they make the decision to own a pet. That said I am surprised at the polarity and vicious attacks people on a forum like this can make when the site is supposed to be about seeing the good nature of people. Too many people always are trying to be right....remember you can be right and still lose.
Don't you all think that if those two ladies weren't financially equipped to give that kind of money they probably wouldn't have offered. Everyone is right, the amount isn't the point, because they AREN'T going to offer money they can't easily dispense. They aren't going to put themselves in the poorhouse for a stranger and they aren't going to let their "possible" children and/or grandchildren starve/freeze/go without just to help a stranger. I'm SURE they had they expendable funds to with it as they pleased. Maybe, JUST maybe, they didn't have any family to have to consider (did you think of that)? Maybe they had an excess of funds b/c they had no one but themselves and their critters to pay for? What is so wrong about using your available and excess funds to help someone who ISN'T a relation? That is what's wrong with society today, they have no perspective and so sense of selflessness.
