With a fixed income the past few years, I keep feeling a pull to do more in larger ways yet I honor other people and meet them where they are - at the Dollar Tree or at a thrift shop. I always ask the parent first if I might do something for the child as my grandchildren live out of town. These parents are generally receptive as are those at the public library when I introduce them to the library's used book store that has a grand selection of children's books, a few of the books are published in Spanish..
