The Ukrainian counteroffensive is still in the very early infant stages. The biggest risk factor here is the absence of aviation and F16 fighter jets, no war has been won without strong air support. Substituting F16s with other artillery & JDAM sounds like a smart decision, however battlefield tactics & results often prove wrong. The US and EU, NATO need to step up with training and deliveries of more heavy ground equipment (Challenger and Leopard 2 tanks and Bradley, Stryker, AMX-10 and Marder infantry fighting vehicles), ammunitions and speedy training of the pilots.
I hope the NATO members, the US especially will be able to throw in more weaponry, especially the F-16 fighter jets, hopefully higher range MGM-140 ATACMS rockets, counter rocket C-RAM weapons systems to better fight the Iranian drones and more for air defenses to counter the Iranian drones and ballistic missiles.
With such slow attrition phase this war will most likely continue into 2024. The Ukrainian offensive needs to be successful, however they have before November 2023 to be able to accomplish the major battlefield objectives. Otherwise, from October 2023 muddy and colder conditions will move in and it will become much more difficult for the offensive side to conduct warfare tactics within these weather conditions.
At the end, I am 100% sure the Russian forces and Putin will be defeated in Ukraine and Russia will be also forced to leave Moldova, Georgian regions of Abkhazia and Samachablo (so called South Ossetia), Nagorno-Karabakh and Syria!
World peace can only be accomplished after this evil – Putin will be removed.
Slava Ukraini! Heroyam Slava!
