Reading Dr. Edwards' responses I feel a great sadness about what today's students, teachers and parents are missing as art programs are being purged from curricula. Her perceptions should encourage parents and grandparents to introduce art projects to their children as an important aspect of their upbringing; I am reminded of how my own parents did so for me. And that has made the difference in how I see things even a half century later.
