1000 times yes to enjoying the ride, to having Fun while pursuing one's adventure, to choosing differently when it becines drudgery and to putting out there what one wishes to do, ie. for me that = one's heart and calling. I'm now in my 19th year as full time freelance Storyteller and recently Narrative Therapy Practitioner. As I read Neil' words I was transported to the 30+ projects, programs & dozens of stories I've created and how I tend to leap from one project right into the next. At 55. I'm finally taking the time to deeply pause, reflect, Enjoy and then keep on going. I'm also letting go of 'serious work' to return to joy. Context, in my Narrative Therapy work, I serve survivors of abuse & I've allowed the 'seriousness' to overtake the joy of this work; assisting a person to see their skills and journey to their preferred narrative. While this is deep work, it can also be in Joy. Whew. Thanks so much Daily Good! PS. Here's to all of us whose vocation does Not fit into a box...♡
