This was brilliant! As an older artist I cam attest to some of the truths...enjoyment being one I am just now learning to lean into! I don't care as much what anyone else thinks...I'm creating for my hearts longing to be eased a bit...or shaken up a bit...more open to exploring the tributaries that open up as I move with the creative flow....being more Curious about the art I create rather than working so hard to be damn " perfect"...ugh...like he says...be interested in your failures...learn from them...don't even call them failures if that's a trigger word for you. Someone once told me that in rehab when you fall off the program they call it " doing research" to.guage your reaction and response to each event will inform you more accurately of where you are standing. Being an artist can be tricky to navigate at times but oh is it worth it. One grows so deeply. Thank you for sharing such bites of wisdom.
