i wish that Dr. Remen could come over to Israel to help with healing. we have so many doctors, therapists and healers, with such intelligent minds, and so disconnected from their hearts, that it breaks my heart whenever I am exposed to it. And of course, no amount of explanation or discussion is helping. i cannot make out what is causing so many of the therapists i go to to become patronizing, or so many to seem to become my patients, instead of being able to find a way to get in touch with their own spirituality. i keep asking myself what is wrong with me, that therapists can't cope with my feelings, or the passion in my feelings. i think that when we are disconnected from soul, for whatever reason, then we must disconnect also from feeling. One doctor above admits that he made himself numb, but it takes a great deal of courage and work to even admit that this might be what happens to so many professionals and then so many have shut themselves down to avoid feeling. i am beginning to do the feeling work i need to do for myself and tell myself that i'm not paying the therapist in order to take care of them. if there are any people who can identify with this and have found a solution, i'd much appreciate feedback.
