So much this! Well said on all tips, faves are: ask a different question, hit reset & acknowledge good points.
To add to practices we might also try: I've been working with folks in social justice realms to widen the lens of vision by putting on what I call the 'quad focals' lens of: context, complexities, curiosity & compassion. When we also consider the person (or people) we're in conversation with are so much More than one deacriptor; they have their lived experiences that influence their beliefs. And there's the complexity of layers that also influence those beliefs: messages of what's ok/not ok from: family of origin, cultures, gender norms, society, religion. Add to it, as Ms Guzman says, curiosity. And compassion and it's more likely to have an open conversation.
Thanks so much for sharing practices to assist us to build bridges rather than walls.♡
