"As we respond with caring and vision to all work, we develop our capacity to respond fully to all of life. Every action generates positive energy which can be shared with others. These qualities of caring and responsiveness are the greatest gift we can offer." --Tarthang Tulku
Smashing a Law of Physics?
Free energy anyone? Ireland-based Steorn, a technology firm, issued a challenge to the world's scientific community last week to give its verdict on technology it says smashes one of the basic laws of physics by producing "free energy." Sounds too good to be true, and so Steorn has placed an ad in The Economist seeking 12 top physicists to examine the technology -- based on the interaction of magnetic fields -- and publish their results. The concept of "free energy" contradicts the first law of thermodynamics -- which in layman's terms states that you cannot get more energy out than you put in -- and has divided the scientific community for centuries. If validated, Steorn intends to license its technology to the energy sector, but will allow use of its technology royalty-free for certain purposes including water and rural electrification projects in third world countries.
BE THE CHANGE
Do one ordinary task you consider "work" with increased caring and vision to examine whether it does create "free energy" that can be shared.
