"I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve." --Albert Schweitzer
Destined to Happiness
Following a study of 4,000 twins, David Lykken, a professor emeritus in psychology at the University of Minnesota concludes that 50 percent of the satisfaction a person experiences is genetically determined. Genes influence many character traits such as the ability to handle stress. Environmental factors such as income, marital status, religion and education account for only eight percent. And the rest is determined by fate itself.
BE THE CHANGE
Take fate into your own hands. Write a letter thanking someone (teacher, friend, parent) for the role they play in your life, then read it to them in person.
